I like that name because it rhymes.
Especially against a white quartz crystal you can see the barest hint of blue in this stone. Clear beryl is called goshenite, but beryl plus some iron atoms is aquamarine. I tried to take photos of this ring in different light and contrasts. I would say for me, I see goshenite the majority of the time. But especially around other blues, I think aquamarine is a fitting name. There are pockets of rainbows too, but the camera was overwhelmed by it's majesty.
