Pieces of home from the place I roam. Montana agates from Eastern Montana have big bold bands of iron and manganese. Bright punchy oranges and low country tawny browns and blacks. Montana agate from closer to the Yellowstone caldera is paler, more milky grey agate with black dendrites and spots of manganese. 

These stones are special to me. Pieces of the earth where my feet feel connected and find peace. Montana has a way of invading herself into deep places of people's hearts and minds. Indeed, when I go away, it doesn't take long for my thoughts to turn back.
