Oh baby, it's a wild world. 

The irony is not lost on me that for the majority of my life I never really fit in, or was mainstream of anything. The ability to vote is different. I know the system is not perfect. I know there is so much work to do. But I would rather live in a democracy than any other form of government. So I will be voting. 

My friend Nina inspired me to make something encouraging by writing postcards to voters. I had made these steel stamps years ago and almost thought I would never use them. I drew them on my iPad, and had discussed the size of the stamps with the stamp maker. To make give these stamps a good impression, I have to use power. I could have made them smaller, but I didn't. I have to use more power than I have to use with any other stamp I have. If I didn't think I could possibly smash a finger off, I would over hand swing these. But I don't do that. I have to tighten up my stance. get everything settled in place, and then big breath in. Single clear, hard, strike. Sometimes this leaves a little second impression that I normally would try to hide. Not with these. 

If you wear one of these necklaces, know that it took power to create that voice. And that voice is still there, even if it shakes. I hope this translates to our real lives. I hope our voices boom out. Let's vote.
