I started making these Dream Makers during a particularly stressful season of life. After a move, I developed a tremor that made my usual jewelry work—especially delicate soldering—difficult. With nearly a decade of jewelry making behind me and a growing collection of gemstones waiting in the studio, I began looking for a different way to create.

These crystal sculptures became the answer.

Unlike the small, precise movements required for jewelry, Dream Makers require bigger movements, hot materials, careful balancing, and plenty of patience. Each one is a hands-on process of arranging, fussing, adjusting, and finding the right balance between the gemstones and the sculpture itself. The process is challenging, physical, and incredibly satisfying.

I call them Dream Makers, rather than dream catchers, because they came from a time when I wasn’t sure I could continue making my usual work—but I could still make something beautiful.

Each handmade gemstone sculpture is inspired by the natural character of the stones themselves. Every crystal, color, shape, and combination brings its own feeling and story, making each Dream Maker unique.
